Ode To Vailima

Ode To Vailima

Oh sweet nectar of island home
Vailima, Vailima - our very own
A beer to quench my parching thirst
One more bartender, to follow first
And then another, a bottle like no other
Vailima, sweet Vailima, I'm in your thrall...
Just leave me here, out on the sea wall
Where seagulls cry, and curious people drive on by
To watch the day to wax and then to wane
Sun up till sun down, through sun and rain
I have no worries, so long as Vailima flows
No woes, no problems, no places to go
Just me and Vailima, in Samoa,
where the warm wind blows.

Artist's Thoughts & Comments:

There isn't much to comment on this. It is a poem praising the Samoan Social Lubricant, also known as Vailima.
