PACARTS '08 - Guam's Delegation Dances At Veterans' Memorial Stadium

Guam's delegation to the 10th Festival of the Pacific Arts performed last night, July 23rd, at the Veterans' Memorial Stadium in American Samoa to a large crowd. Following the Hawaiians on the center stage, the Guamanian delegates performed numerous dances to the approval of the crowd.

Guam's performance was as much alike as it was different from the Hawaiians' performance that preceded them. One could almost feel tired after watching the energetic and fun performance by Guam's dancers as they moved through intricately choreographed dance moves tapping their sticks in simulated combat in time to the music. Very impressive and almost flawless in its execution, the Guamanians' expertise and art was well received by the audience.
